On Sunday afternoon President Trump attended the famous “Great American Race” otherwise known as the Daytona 500.
Presidential presence at the event was kicked off with a fly-over by Air Force One at 800 feet above the stadium, to which the crowd responded with a resounding cheer.
Trump then proceeded to be the second sitting President to act as grand marshal at the event, George W. Bush being the first in 2005. As grand marshal, he fulfilled his duty by saying these famous four words, “Gentlemen, start your engines.”
Afterward, President Trump proceeded to make a lap around the track in his presidential limo, a first for any sitting President. Surely a day to be remembered in history books.
