It has recently been brought to light that drones being used across the country to enforce social distancing guidelines have ties to the Chinese government.
The drones were donated to law enforcement agencies by a company with ties to the Chinese government. This has raised concerns that China is using drones to spy over the United States. The drones have gone to 43 law enforcement agencies and 22 states (Fox News).
While the company that donated the drones denies any such spying motives, others warn the drones are a slippery slope in the fight against COVID-19.
