Sanders and Buttigieg Campaigns Request a Recanvass of Iowa Caucus

Bernie Sanders’ and Pete Buttigieg’s have requested a recanvass of Iowa Caucus, due to uncertainty of the accuracy of results.

Last week the Iowa Democratic Party had technical difficulties throughout the process. The IDP had to check back on their paper records and found inconsistencies between results, which led to a delay in revealing a final winner. The latest update on results showed Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders as the top two candidates, Buttigieg taking the lead by only two state delegates.

With such a close margin between the two, both campaigns have called for a recanvass of a total of 85 precincts, yet they will remain focused on this week’s New Hampshire primaries, hoping for better results.
