Results from Super Tuesday

After all polls had closed in the fourteen states holding contests yesterday it was clear there was one winner of the majority of delegates at stake.  Joe Biden.

After the contest results Joe Biden was pushed to a clear first at 506 delegates total and Bernie Sanders in a close second at 455 delegates.  1,991 delegates are needed in order to win the democratic nomination.  While there is still a long way to go for both of the top two candidates, it will become easier as more candidates drop out.

This morning Mike Bloomberg announced that he would drop out of the race and Elizabeth Warren is currently re-evaluating her campaign for presidential nominee.  All the candidates to drop out in recent days have all endorsed Joe Biden for President, Mike Bloomberg being no exception.

The next primary takes place on March 10 in the states of: Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, and Washington.
