FCC May Ban Chinese Telecommunication Firms

On Friday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) stated it may restrict Chinese government-controlled telecommunication firms from operating in the United States.

This request to revoke their operations within the country came from the U.S. Department of Justice and other federal agencies after conflict and tension rose between the U.S. and China amid the epidemic.

The FCC referred to four firms, including China Telecom Americas,  that may be a national security risk. The FCC delivered show-cause orders to these firms, in which they must explain why their authorizations to work in the US should not be revoked.
