Democratic Presidential Nominee Candidate and U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) has filed a defamation lawsuit against Hillary Clinton for $50 million dollars.
The Democratic Representative is claiming that Clinton highly damaged her reputation when Clinton suggested that one of the 2020 candidates for the nomination was a Russian favorite.
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. Southern District Court in New York City, hopes to hold Clinton and others liable for lying about Gabbard’s reputation. Gabbard claims Clinton’s comments triggered significant economic losses for the Gabbard campaign.
Furthermore, Gabbard holds that Clinton has held resentment against Gabbard since 2016 when Gabbard endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders over Hillary for the Democratic Presidential Nomination.
