On Tuesday mainland China reported the first day with no deaths from COVID-19.
The number of cases in mainland China has dropped over the last few days, and Tuesday was the first day since the outbreak, with no new deaths. Throughout the country, cities have begun to lift restrictions and the city of Wuhan, where the virus sparked, is also preparing to remove their lockdown as the number of cases continues to decrease.
However, China has been under global scrutiny for not being transparent with their figures. The country's travel restrictions will remain in place, as other countries in Asia expect the second wave of cases from overseas.
